Daniel Steppe

Mr. Daniel Steppe has been working with men and women with varying degrees of trauma for the last 15 years. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a BA in Economics and Columbia University where he received a masters degree in Clinical Social Work. While at Columbia, he worked at the Payne Whitney Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, New York Hospital, and with ART, a field based non-profit that works with AIDS patients who have co-occurring mental illnesses. Upon graduation, Mr. Steppe returned to work with ART. He spent several years there working as a supervisor and assistant director.

In 2006, he moved to Atlanta to work at the Veterans Administration Hospital as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist. He provided individual and group therapy to men and woman who suffered from PTSD.  Mr. Steppe was on several committees to improve veterans access to care. He is currently working as a private practitioner with veterans and civilian adults who have experienced trauma.

Mr. Steppe has also worked in international settings with the underserved. He has worked in Peru, Thailand and Haiti.
