In 2009, The ArtReach Foundation® (ArtReach), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Atlanta, GA, launched its most recent domestic initiative, ArtReach: Project America. This commitment is to provide all combat veterans, troops, and their families, help through the ArtReach Model™ of treatment. This service is provided by Training Teams of creative arts therapists, mental health professionals, and veteran-mentors who have been trained under the ArtReach Model. The mission of ArtReach is to influence and assist - through creative expressive arts therapies - the growth and development of adults and children who have experienced the traumatic effects of war, violence, and/or natural disaster. Currently, ArtReach: Project America is focused within Georgia, where Training Teams are being developed. The dedicated professionals of ArtReach: Project America are from the fields of the creative arts therapies, medicine, psychology, social work, education, and military science. |
